First Mini PC with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Tested: Promising Performance of the Radeon 890M iGPU
The ETA Prime channel tested AMD’s new hardware on the Souyo S9 mini PC, evaluating both synthetic benchmarks and seven recent, demanding games. The tests included titles using AMD FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) and AFMF (AMD Fluid Motion Frames), with most games running on minimum graphical settings.
The Souyo S9, the first mini PC equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, has recently been tested, showing impressive results. This processor, the most powerful in AMD’s lineup to date, comes with the Radeon 890M iGPU, which excels in graphical performance, particularly in demanding Full HD games.
The ETA Prime channel was the first to get hands-on with AMD’s new hardware, putting it through synthetic benchmarks and a range of heavy games. A total of seven recent titles were tested, many utilizing AMD’s FSR and AFMF technologies, with most games set to minimum graphical presets.
Benchmark and Game Performance
Despite being an integrated iGPU, the Radeon 890M impresses with its graphical processing capability. Configured with a 65W TDP in the Souyo S9, the APU demonstrated its ability to handle demanding games with solid results. Here are the numbers achieved:

- Mortal Kombat 1 (1080p, Medium, FSR Balanced): 60 FPS constant
- Horizon Forbidden West (1080p, Low, AFMF): 55-65 FPS
- Ghost of Tsushima (1080p, Medium, FSR 3.1 Balanced, AFMF): 64-74 FPS
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (1080p, Low, FSR Balanced): Average of 76 FPS
These results are notable for an integrated graphics chip, showing that in many of these games, it is feasible to consider higher graphical settings while maintaining 60 FPS.
Souyo S9 Specifications
The Souyo S9 features three M.2 slots, USB 4, and offers LPDDR5X memory options in 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB versions, with speeds ranging from 6400 to 7500 MT/s. Still in prototype phase, the company has yet to set a release date or pricing for the device.
These results highlight the Radeon 890M as a promising iGPU, especially for those seeking solid performance in a compact form factor like the Souyo S9.
